Woot for Cheeziness.

Central Exams are almost here, I've got a job at the IKEA and I'm uploading pieces of my work again. No real progress on the game development front though... Does that mean it's going to die? I sure do hope not, but me and are very busy at the moment with IRL stuff so we're having difficulty finding time to commit to development of the game.

Hopefully I can put my full attention to it in the near future (which is about one month), when my exams are over. And perhaps I can get to put his mind and effort into creating concept for the game even sooner.

So yeah, I've been incredibly inactive these past couple of months. Not to worry, there was/is a valid reason for all of this.

First of all, since this is my final, and thus exam year, I've been studying and reading like mad. There has been very little time where I was in the mood to draw something good.

Secondly, as some of you may know I work on indie games (such as Perdition). As the main coder for my team, I have been working with VC# 2010 Express a whole lot more than I have with PS7.

Finally, art blocks. We all run into them sooner or later and we all hate them. That's basically what's been bothering me the last couple of months.

[In Other News:]

- PERDITION is no longer being actively developed. This is both to me having little time this year and us wanting to try out something smaller before we dive into Grade-A territory.

- I kinda stopped working on my Waterways level some time ago, should I pick it up again, even if it's just for the sake of finishing it?

Today my final year of secondary (pre-university) education has started. And I'm not particularly looking forward to the months to come (coughexamscough). Still can't believe how fast these last 5, yes FIVE, years have gone by, seems like it was only yesterday that I was what we in Dutch call a 'Wuppie', basically your high school freshmen kind of dude(ette).

But not all is bad. Starting tomorrow and lasting until Sunday morning I'll be in Berlin, visiting all kinds of landmarks and having a good time. And guess what, it's a school trip, who ever guessed those could be fun (well I can, my school trips are always fun). So this'll be my last journal entry for the coming week (as if I journal(ise?) that much anyway...)

And I got all the awesome teachers in school for my final year.
My maths teacher in particular, 90% of my friends got assigned a new maths teacher this year, and they're not happy about it. But I still have the same dude, and let me tell you, he is a crazy genius, emphasis on genius. (But he's very sloppy, and likes to hate on the other teachers and the writers of our maths books )

If you're up for a horror/survival game and you happen to have Half Life 2 Ep 2, then I highly recommend getting the mod: Nightmare House 2. It comes with the original story as a prologue level and it truly sets the bar for quality in a mod.
